Sound familiar?

You love the salon look. The salon? That's complicated.

I loved having my nails done. I didn't love what it took to get them.

01

You're paying them to undo it

A big chunk of every appointment is getting the old set off. Drilling, soaking, scraping. You're paying them to undo what you paid them to do last time.

02

Your nails are not okay

Take the gel off and be honest. Thin, bendy, peeling. And the fix they offer you? More gel.

03

One broken nail

A nail breaks, lifts or snags in your hair. Now you either live with it or head back to the salon and wait your turn.

04

The friend date

You went together so you could catch up. She's three stations away. You're trying to text her from across the room. That's not a girls' day.

And after all that, you're stuck with the same color for three weeks, even when you're sick of it by day five.

The piggy bank. I still have it.

My story

I used to save my loose change for my nails.

Nine years ago I kept a silver piggy bank. Every bit of loose change went in. When it filled up, I cashed it in and got my nails done.

I loved having pretty nails. Gel lasted, but I hated the removal and how my nails felt afterward. I hated the sitting, the waiting and the bill.

July 2017

My BFF mailed me a Color Street sample. In a plain envelope. No instructions. Nothing. I'd never heard of it.

The deal I made

If I could figure out how to put these on, and they lasted the week, I was in.

The moment

I figured it out. I put them on. And I thought, wait. I can have salon quality nails I love without a nail appointment?

Nine years later

I still have the piggy bank. Not for nail money anymore. I keep it to remember where it all started.

Wait, are those stickers?

Real polish. Not plastic. Not stickers.

Let's clear this up, because everybody asks. They're 100% real nail polish, already dried into a strip. Base coat, color and top coat in one. No sitting under a lamp, no smudging them on the way to the car, and no wrecking your natural nails when they come off.

Since I stopped going to the salon

I can change my nails four times a month and still spend less time and money than one salon visit.

1

No appointments. Ever.

When I want new nails, I put them on. No going to the salon, no sitting around waiting for my turn.

2

Mood changes, nails change

New outfit, special event, bad day, or a set dropped and I needed it. Or because I can.

3

My nails are healthy

Easy on, easy off, no damage. A little TLC between sets and my natural nails have never looked better.

4

Everybody notices

When your nails look good, people notice. Even you.

I catch myself staring at my nails in the car when the sun hits them on the steering wheel. LOL. And when people ask where I got them done? I love bragging that I did them myself.

This is what ditching the salon looks like

Yep, I did all of these myself.

Easier than it looks

I figured it out with zero instructions. You get mine.

Prep your nails

Buff, file and push back your cuticles. Wipe each nail with a prep pad so there's no oil or lotion left.

Pick your base

I use the Ridge Filler Primer. I don't have ridges, but I love it as a base. It gives a smooth, clean finish for the strips to stick to. If your nails need a little extra help, go with Strengthener instead.

Open and go

Strips start to dry once they hit the air, so don't open the pack and walk away. Room temperature strips and warm hands work best.

Pinky first, thumbs last

Peel off the clear film, then lift the silver tab to release the strip from the backing. Start with your pinky and work toward your thumb.

Close to the cuticle, not on it

Hold the strip in the middle, not the end. Place it as close to your cuticle as you can without touching skin, then smooth it down so it's taut.

Crease and file

Use your thumb to crease the strip over the edge of your nail and perforate it. Then lightly file off any excess.

Finish with a top coat

Totally optional, but I never skip it. Plumping Top Coat adds a gel like layer, an extra little shine and longer wear. It's the closest thing to a salon finish.

Real talk: it might take you three tries before you feel like a pro. That's normal. I'm here to help you get the perfect application, so message me anytime. I promise, once you find your groove, you'll never go back.

This is for you if

Press‑on nails

If you love a long nail moment but don't want to sit in a salon chair for it, these are for you. Brand new press-ons with that hard salon set feel, launching Friday, October 9. Everything to put them on and take them off is right in the box (even the remover).

Color Street eye patches, Skin Milk hydrating toner and mascara

Skincare and beauty

My faves: the new Skin Milk toner, the eye patches, and our mascara. That mascara has been around for years and it's still the best. I wear it to the gym every day and never leave looking like a raccoon.

Your next manicure doesn't require a lengthy, pricey appointment.

Who doesn't love free? Buy 3 sets, get the 4th free, and mix and match with the new press-ons.

Do you need the remover, a base (Ridge Filling Primer or Strengthener) and the Plumping Top Coat? No. The strips are salon quality on their own. But these elevate the experience and the final look. Not sure what you need? Message me and I'll help you build your cart.
